Honda confirms return to F1 in 2015

Honda has confirmed it will return to Formula One with McLaren in 2015. The Japanese manufacturer has not competed in the sport since shutting its factory team at the end of 2008.
Pirelli making changes for Canada

Alonso beats Raikkonen in front of home fans

Fernando Alonso took a popular victory in a strategic Spanish Grand Prix as he beat Kimi Raikkonen and team-mate Felipe Massa in Barcelona. Having started fifth, a good start set up Alonso's charge and his Ferrari was quick enough to execute a four-stop strategy to beat the three-stopping Raikkonen. Massa couldn't match his team-mate on the same strategy, but was a comfortable third as Sebastian Vettel - who finished fourth - struggled with tyre wear.

Ecclestone could face bribery charges

Bernie Ecclestone is set to face charges in Germany relating to the Gerhard Gribkowsky bribery case, according to a report in Sueddeutsche Zeitung. The newspaper claims that investigations into the case are now complete and a Munich court is preparing to file charges within the next month. However, there are likely to be delays as the charge sheet needs to be translated into English before being delivered to Ecclestone's lawyers.
Mercedes is favourite in Monaco - Alonso

Fernando Alonso thinks Mercedes will be the favourite for victory at the next grand prix in Monaco after Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have dominated qualifying at the last three races.
Rosberg leads Mercedes lock-out at Barcelona

Nico Rosberg took his second consecutive pole position as Mercedes locked out the front row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Rosberg provided the benchmark with a time 0.4s quicker than the others to do an initial run in Q3. He then lowered it and Hamilton couldn't match it, but was still able to secure the team's first front-row lock-out since its return to the sport. Sebastian Vettel took third place but was over 0.3s slower than Rosberg's time, while Kimi Raikkonen joins him on the second row.

Lewis Hamilton feels as though he is no longer controlled by his team now he has moved from McLaren to Mercedes. Hamilton made the switch in the winter, leaving McLaren where he had been since his Formula One debut in 2007. When he joined the sport he was managed by his father, Anthony, and had been helped up the motorsport ladder by McLaren boss Ron Dennis.
